The Why
We envision a country where all people - even in the most remote areas in Togo - hold the power to create opportunity for themselves and others.
We believe providing safe, affordable access to capital to those in need helps people create better lives for themselves and their families.
We believe that all Togolese everywhere desire the same (or very similar) things: excellent health, wisdom, abundant prosperity and, above all, happiness and freedom.
The How
WTGF works with micro-finance institutions in all 6 regions in Togo to provide loans to people without access to traditional banking systems. One hundred percent of your contribution is sent to these micro-finance institutions, which we call Field Partners, who administer the loans in the field.
We rely on a network of volunteers who work with our Field Partners, edit and translate borrower stories. 100% of every dollar you give goes directly towards funding loans; WTGF does not take a cut. Furthermore, 100% of the repaid loans goes to finance other community development programs throughout the country.
WTGF is primarily funded through the support of people like you making generous donations. We also raise funds through grants, corporate sponsors, and foundations.
